Welcome to the September edition of the Centre News and welcome back all of our groups who have had a summer break and to the groups who will be returning to the Centre after a long absence due to the pandemic. It’s great to have you back. Just a polite reminder, in order to protect staff, volunteers and users of the Centre please can we ask that masks are worn in all communal parts of the building. Once you are in your class/group it will be up to your group leader to say whether you need to wear your mask or not. We also ask if you can continue to sanitise your hands on arrival. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
The children of Hayling were treated to an exciting summer of free, fun activities including sport, arts and crafts, entertainment and a healthy lunch through the Connect4Hicca programme. Funding was provided by the Department for Education via Hampshire County Council through the connect4communities programme. This meant Tania, Lily and all their staff were able to put together an amazing programme for the children and families including a fabulous day out to Longdown Dairy farm as a special treat at the end of their 3 weeks. A huge thank you to the team for giving such enjoyment to the children.
Looking ahead to events for September we start with HICCA’S fundraising Table Top Sale on Saturday 11th September 1pm-3pm (sellers setting up from 12 noon) with our popular ‘Prize Every Time Tombola’.
